By adding a 400W heating element, together with a T-piece and dual fuel valves sold separately, it can also be converted to run from the electricity supply. This allows the rail to continue warming towels even when the central heating is switched off, making it especially useful in summer. For installations intended for central heating only, standard radiator valves can be selected instead.
